Please make sure to attend, or you will be indebted by Lori Anderson for not turning in your uniform.

Tindell            CSF – CSF credits for seniors are due May 23 all other classes are due May 30.  No exceptions!  Get them in on time!  The CSF luncheon is Wednesday!  If you signed up to bring drinks, you must bring them in no later than Monday, May 19.

Collazos   AP Psychology – Any students who signed up for AO Psychology next year, there is a mandatory meeting Friday, May 23rd at lunch in the small gym.

Ruvalcaba     AP Spanish – All students interested in AP Spanish must attend a meeting on Tuesday, May 20th after school in room 1245.

Miller            Moonlight Rollerway Skate Night – Hey everyone!  We are having a skate night fundraiser at Moonlight Rollerway on Wed. May 21st. from 6-8 pm.  Ticket are for sale $10.  Price includes entrance and rental skates.  Purchase a ticket in the quad at lunch or from ASB members.  All ages are permitted.  We’d love to see you all there in your 80’s attire.  Proceeds benefit the junior class.

Zelig            Malaria Awareness Day – Thank you to everyone who participated in the Malaria Awareness Day campaign.  Due to the help of 15 of our teachers and the generosity of their students, BHS was able to raise $800.00! This was not a contest and there were no winner, yet with the help of JBHS we were able to send a check for almost $2000.00 to the Malaria Foundation.  This money will be used to help Burbank’s sister city of Gaborone, Botswana buy mosquito nests and fight against the spread of Malaria.  Thank you for your support.

Zelig Congratulations – On Saturday, May 10th our DHH students competed in the Annual Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Basketball and Cheerleading Tournament hosted by Gardena H.S.  The basketball team won 2nd place and the cheerleading team also won 2nd place.  We are very proud of their hard work.  Congratulations to all of our DHH students!

Stanley   Congratulations to the Burbank High School Orchestra on their outstanding performance at festival last week.  They gave a very musical performance and received a rating of SUPERIOR, which is the highest rating.  Please commend those students when you see them on a job well done!"  "Congratulations to the members of the BHS IMA who performed at Solo & Ensemble Festival recently.  We had 21 individuals and small groups who performed and 14 of them got a SUPERIOR rating, the highest rating.  Be sure to commend these band and orchestra students for representing Burbank so well!"

Wolf            Track & Field – Congratulations to the girl’s frosh-soph. track team for defeating Burroughs on Wed.  McKenzie Paul and Lindsey Brownstein each had three individual wins and were also on the mile relay team that won the meet for the Bulldogs.  With the win, the Lady Bulldogs finished 2nd in the Pacific League.

WygleMy School’s Cool – the Burbank Town Center donates 1 point for every dollar spent at the mall to OUR school!  So SHOP at ALL the stores & restaurants between Magnolia and Burbank Blvd., including CPK, IKEA, Chevy’s, Barnes & Noble, Steve & Terry’s, In-N-Out, Baja Fresh and Corner Bakery!!  Save your receipts and put them in the envelope in your 4th period class, the blue box at the Front desk, or at the Information Center in the mall.  If you need to get a copy of your receipt the Info Center will make one for you.  This program ends May 15th.  We could win $8000 for BHS, so TURN IN YOUR RECEIPTS AND MAKE BHS COOL!  "K-Mart, Lowe's, Starbucks, Target and any other stores' receipts OUTSIDE the Town Center Mall area do NOT count in the contest.  Any receipt COPIES must be made by the mall info center to be counted."
