Reporting Absences

Parents must call, FAX. or send a note into the attendance office the day of the student absence. Failing to report the absence within 72 hours may result in an unexcused absence.

California Education Code excuses absences for illness, medical reasons, and funeral of immediate family members or for a court appearance. FAMILY VACATION IS NOT EXCUSED PER CALIFORNIA EDUCATION CODE.

Off-Schedules

Students who wish to leave school early must bring a note from a parent giving the school permission to allow the student early release. The note needs to be in the attendance office before school starts at 8:00 a.m. Attendance office personnel frequently call to verify the authenticity of off schedules.

Late Arrivals or Returning from an Off-Schedule

Student who are tardy to school my bring a note to the attendance office or have their parents call to excuse the tardy. All students will be expected to be in their seats, ready to work, when the bell rings or they will be considered tardy.
